YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY ONE.

Stuff You Ask

Who is Lovecore Apparel?

Lovecore Apparel is a Deaf-owned small business based in New Jersey, founded by Nickie Mehl. The brand was created to turn the American Sign Language (ASL) “I Love You” hand sign 🤟 into clothing that feels wearable, intentional, and expressive.

The focus is simple. Design with meaning. Clothes that reflect identity, culture, and connection without feeling cheesy or copied. Pieces that feel good to wear and say something without trying too hard.

How does Lovecore Apparel give a damn?

Giving a damn means putting real action behind what we stand for. Every year, we donate 10% of our profits to organizations that support the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

We focus on groups that are doing the work. Expanding access. Supporting advocacy. Creating resources that actually serve the community, not just talk about it.

When we choose where to give, we look at impact, alignment, and transparency. If it doesn’t feel real or meaningful, it’s not for us.

Why only limited-editions?

Because we’re not interested in flooding the world with more of the same. Limited runs let us stay intentional with what we make and how we make it.

Each drop is rooted in Deaf culture, human connection, and the ASL “I Love You” hand sign, but approached differently every time. New ideas. New voices. New energy. When something sells out, it’s meant to. That’s part of the point.

It keeps the work thoughtful, the collaborations meaningful, and the clothes feeling special instead of mass-produced.

Do you sell children’s or men’s clothing?

Yes, in limited quantities. We occasionally include men’s and children’s pieces as part of select drops. Availability depends on the collection and budget.

The best way to catch them is to check current drops or sign up for updates.

How do I find my size?

Size details are listed in the product description on each product page. If a size chart applies, you’ll find it there. Some items, like socks, are one size.

You can also view our size chart here.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Most orders ship within 1–3 business days. Once shipped, delivery time can vary, but orders typically arrive within about 7 business days total.

You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order is on the way.

Something I want is out of stock. Will it be restocked?

Maybe. Most of our collections are limited-edition, so restocks aren’t guaranteed. If there’s strong interest in a piece, we’ll consider bringing it back, but timing and budget can vary.

If you want to request a restock, you can email us at hellolove@lovecoreapparel.com or click the “Oh no! Bring it back!” button on the product page when an item is sold out.

You can also sign up for updates so you’ll know if it returns.

How should I wash my Lovecore pieces?

Turn garments inside out and wash in cold water. Skip the bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Use a cool iron if needed.

That’ll keep things looking good and wearable for the long run. Treat it right.

Do you offer promo codes or discounts?

Sometimes. We offer special deals from time to time, but they’re not always running and they don’t apply to everything.

The best way to stay in the loop is to join our email list and check the site. We also run the occasional giveaway on Instagram, so following along there doesn’t hurt.

Promotions can change, come and go, or be limited to certain drops.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Gift cards are delivered by email and come with instructions for use at checkout. They don’t expire and there are no extra fees.

Easy gift. No overthinking. Grab one here.

Do I need to know ASL to wear Lovecore?

No. Lovecore is rooted in Deaf culture, but it’s not exclusive to it. You don’t need to know ASL to wear the clothes or connect with what they represent.

If the language or culture sparks your curiosity, learning ASL is a meaningful place to start. There are plenty of online and in-person classes out there. Just make sure you’re learning from Deaf teachers, not hearing ones. You won't regret it.

The ASL “I Love You” hand sign is a symbol of love, identity, and human connection. If it resonates with you, that’s enough. Love starts there.
